Today at breakfast, it was very quiet. We were three strangers. Two men were sitting at each end of the table. They ate in silence. I placed myself between the two.
I greeted with my hoarse voice: Godmorning.
They answered: Godmorning.
Then there was silence again. I stir the coffeecup with the spoon gently to not disturb the silence and I tried as far I was able to, to not rattle the porcelain for not bothering silence with noise.
After breakfast, everyone went to their rooms.
