The opening of the exhibition went well. My fears that I would not manage it with the cold and fever dont becomes a reality. I had taken a fever-reducing pill just before I took a taxi to the gallery. And yes, I manage to speak art with my fantastic english too. It's a challenger as I have to think how to explain using the words I can.
It was a nice atmosphere, I met nice people, both artists and non artists, made contacts and I got good advice to keep in mind at the next show. Among others to translate the poems into English and have it together to the respective illlustrations. I had thought about it before I went to India, but I have not enough knowledge of English to translate and goggle translator has no sense of poetry in it's translation. I shall look for someone that can make the translations for me.
Next week I'll be a few hours each day at the gallery.
Then it's good to have a sketchbook in hand and on the computer at the other.
I will also visit the galleries in Lado Sarai.
India has such amazing artists!
Today I will take it easy. Take a walk to a park near here and nothing else. I woke up without fever. Tomorrow I am invited to dinner at Bnb Chrysalis. It'll be nice as always.
I have noticed one thing here in New Dehli ant it is that people talk a lot about art. I have met interested in art here at the Bnb and other places I have stayed in and I have met people interested in art on the street and in the shops. There were many people on the street art in Lado Sarai yesterday.. This morning for breakfast I met met a couple that was to go for an art tour and I told them about the galleries at Lado Sarai.
